Mental Health Counselling:
I have always been fascinated by how the mind works and it's interaction with our physical and spiritual selves. I strongly believe in the power of talk-therapy. To be able to openly express your thoughts, feelings, emotions, fears, etc. with a professional who can provide a safe and comforting space is truly such a gift. My goal in this is to provide a safe space for you to verbalize whatever you are working through. For you to speak your truth into existence and to really FEEL that release. The power of your voice is limitless.
I so deeply believe in letting out what is there. We are a vessel that can only contain so much. Everything that we do not release becomes stored within us. If we continue to push down our emotions, stress, traumas, and feelings, we won't have space and capacity for daily life. More often than not we also use something to push these uncomfortable things aside. Whether your vice is food, shopping, alcohol, cannabis, social media, video games, or anything else we may use to cope, we are only adding weight and volume to that stress. And when our vessel becomes too full, we explode. Our nervous system becomes completely dysregulated. Some of us fall into deep depression, some of us have major anxiety attacks, and some of us develop an illness. Talk-therapy, along with other healing modalities, can help in preventing this type of major dysregulation.
This type of self-knowledge and self-discovery will assist you throughout your entire life. Let me help you find these places within yourself. This will always be a judgment-free, fully-inclusive, and safe space for you to come as you are!
The word breathwork describes any type of therapeutic modality that utilizes breathing to exercise your consciousness and address your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Many forms of breathwork therapy exist today, with each having their own unique methodology. However, at its source, breathwork draws from the yogic system of Pranayama, and is used to specifically bring about self-awareness, spiritual connection, energetic restoration, and healing. In general, a breathwork session will utilize elements of talk therapy, methodologically sequenced breathing exercises, and music. As your breathwork therapist, I will design sessions that are specifically tailored to YOU.
What to expect? A Pranayama Breathwork journey will look different for everyone. An individual session will typically be about an hour, but depending on your unique needs it can be tailored to be as short as 15 minutes or as long as 2 hours. Most breathing patterns require you to be in a reclined position, but depending on the effect we are trying to elicit, some practices may be seated. However you may be positioned, it is highly recommended that you keep your eyes closed throughout the breathwork journey as it will allow you to deepen into the process with ease. For your individual journey, I will use verbal cueing to guide your breathing patterns and to gently support you through the experience. I will also be using custom made playlists that will make these journeys both fun and relaxing!
I highly recommend committing to at least 5 breathwork sessions as it takes time for our conscious and subconscious selves to surrender and feel the full effects of this transformative process.
Holistic Health and Nutrition:
Diving into health and nutrition has helped me understand that there is not just one type of healthy. I have learned that it is actually quite the opposite! Every single person has their own bio-individuality. There is no one-size-fits-all diet. Each person is a unique individual with highly individualized nutritional requirements.
I am ready to overhaul the fat-phobic, non-inclusive, and body shaming toxicity within this industry. It’s time to see health and nutrition as a way to not only nourish our bodies, but also our mind and soul! No more dieting, no more counting calories, no more depriving ourselves!! It’s time to start seeing ourselves as worthy and deserving of our own love and care. It’s time to make healthy choices for ourselves, and for no one else! Let me help you tune into your body and understand what is working for you and what isn't.
It is also important to note that health and nutrition are not just what we eat, but it is the people we surround ourselves with, the work we do, the hobbies we have, the stress in our lives, the excitement in our lives! My goal is to help you find ways to nourish your body, but also your mind and your soul!! I want to work with you to help guide you in finding YOUR healthy! This isn’t just changing up what you eat, this is creating a sustainable lifestyle that will bring ease and LOVE to your life!
